To be able to solve our power crisis in time, we need to create a balance between the consumption of existing sources and finding solutions to the problem associated with other sources of energy. Smarter use of current resources and adoption of Energy Management Systems ISO 50001, are one of the major tools by which a developing country like India can hope to face the power shortage effectively.
The benefits of undertaking ISO 50001 will mean reducing energy costs via a structured approach to identifying, measuring and managing our energy consumption, driving greater productivity by identifying technical point solutions and affecting behavior changes to reduce energy consumption, create respect for the energy management policy and embed energy efficient thinking in our organization and develop opportunities for new products and services in the low-carbon economy of the future.
