BSI Management Systems held three successive events in April (15-17) to launch BS 25999 for Business Continuity Management (BCM) in India. The events, in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), were held in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore to showcase the BS 25999 standard and related training and certification services.
The rooftop venue at the magnificent Taj Mahal Palace and Towers, with views overlooking the Gateway of India, the Arabian Sea and Mumbai skyline, saw Robin Pilcher, Global Marketing Director, BSI Management Systems, give the inaugural address, followed by the keynote address from P. G. Kakodkar, former Chairman of SBI Group, India’s largest bank, who gave strong support for BS 25999 and BSI’s efforts to promote the standard.
A highlight was the presentation by Robin Pilcher of the first BS 25999 Certificate of Registration in India to Mr Hari Prasad and Mr Nirav Sampat from Accenture. Accenture also has the unique distinction of being the first global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company to receive BS 25999 certification and was applauded for covering 13 facilities and 37,000 employees across India in the process.
