BSI, the global standards, certification and assessment provider, has certified the world’s first process plant to BS EN 16001, the European energy management standard, in India. The certificate has been awarded to Shree Cements, one of India’s top ten cement makers with 18% market share in North India.
Energy conservation and efficiency measures adopted on a consistent basis has enabled Shree Cement to reduce its energy cost which has given it the recognition as one of the most cost efficient cement producer in the Indian Cement Industry. Consistent management thrust on energy conservation activities, implementing a formal energy management system and cost conscious efforts in all spheres of company’s operations have resulted in making Shree Cement one of the most energy efficient Plant.
Shree Cement Ltd. is the largest plant at a single location in Rajasthan, with 9.6 Million-Ton Per Annum cement production capacity.
