As part of its global launch of BS 25999 for Business Continuity Management (BCM), BSI Management Systems held events during April (15-17) in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, which attracted more than 330 prospective clients from both public and private sectors.
The events included leading speakers on BCM in India including Dr N. Vinod C. Menon, Hon’ble Member of National Disaster Management Authority; Mr J.K. Sinha, Member NDMA; Mr Michael Berkowitz, Head of BCM Deutsche Bank India; Mr Dhiraj Lal, Country Manager, BCM Institute; and Mr S.K. Kakkar, Head of Confederation of Indian Industry, as well as case studies and BCM experiences from global giants such as IBM, Accenture and Satyam.
In Mumbai, the financial centre of India, Robin Pilcher, Global Marketing Director, BSI Management Systems, presented the BS 25999 Certificate of Registration to Mr Rajiv Vaid, Head, Management Assurance Services, Citigroup Global Services Ltd. (CGSL). CGSL is the global processing centre for Citigroup and the largest provider of financial BPO solutions in the world, with 4 locations and some 12,000 employees across India.
Robin Pilcher commented, “India is leading the world in BS 25999 certifications”, and he invited all in the audience to drive this initiative even faster to build more resilient organizations to ensure Indian industry continues to gain global prominence.
