On January 27, 2009, Indian Oil Corporation, became the first company in the oil and gas sector to have embedded a Business Continuity Management System, and achieve the BS-25999-2:2007 certfication. During a glittering ceremony held at the Indian Institute of Petroleum, Gurgaon, the CEO of BSI Group, Mr. Howard Kerr, presented a wooden plaque certificate to Shri. SV Narasimhan, Director – Finance of IOCL, in the presence of the senior management and staff of IOCL and BSI.
