Course Description:
BSI’s “Implementing an Energy Management System” course provides participants with practical tools and methods for implementing an energy management system (EnMS). Based on the EN 16001:2009 standard, the course addresses the forthcoming international standard ISO 50001 and its significance for the implementation of an EnMS. Exercises prepare students to identify key requirements, create documentation, develop project plans, and prepare an implementation project plan. Participants will gain knowledge of how to implement an energy management system to improve energy efficiency and provide other benefits to their organization.

Describe the energy-centric process approach and the concepts of energy management, and apply them to the requirements of ISO 50001
- Define the scope of an EnMS
- Produce a plan for implementation
- Identify and justify the resources required for implementation
